If you can only join us occasionally please come and support our main celebrations. The village Churches are often at their best when they come together these services are highlighted below.

Christingle

Supporting the Children’s Society with a traditional Christingle Service.

Hot Chocolate is served before the service. At the end of the service please collect a Reverse Advent Callendar supporting the Stroud District Foodbank. and the service.

The empty Crib Scene has been set up in church on your way home look and see if you can see Mary and Joseph as they set out on their long journey down the High Street.

Traditional Christmas service of carols and readings

 

Crib Service

A short service on Christmas Eve specially for the younger children. Hopefully Mary and Joseph will arrive saftely after their journey down the High Street and the Children can help set up the Crib Scene in Church.

Mothering Sunday

A special service for Mums  Children hand out flowers, and as we start to look forward to Easter collect a wooden egg to decorate ready to hang on the Village Easter Tree.

 

Palm Sunday

The story of Holy Week. Starting on the Chipping by hanging eggs on one of the trees, we tell the story of Easter week in readings and song as we move down to the Abbey Green and into either St Mary's or the Kingswood Congregational Church.
